It doesn't have to be a gigantic monster TV. No one wants to see the pores of the actors on TV. Anywhere from 24 inches to 52 should be sufficient enough to watch your football games on Sunday or play Wii boxing without having to squint. Websites such as Hulu.com stream TV shows and movies year round, so you would never have to watch your favorite show at a specific time.
Nintendo Wii
Most hardcore gamers would disagree with me here and say that a Sony Playstation has games that are way more fun and X Box 360 has realistic graphics, but the fact is when you have visitors over that don't usually play video games, you want them to want to play the game. The Wii is great for this. Without having to figure out what the red button and the x button does on a controller, they can stand up and start swinging the remote like a bat to play Wii tennis or get into their boxing stance to fight each other on screen. This is not including the fact it is far healthier to swing a remote around, than to sit on the couch for three hours trying pressing a button over and over again.
Instrument, preferably something you can play
Any instrument will suffice, but having an instrument that is easy to play and makes you look like John Mayer is always a great way to "woo" her when she's over. Next time she comes over, before heading out to dinner, tell her you have something to show and use your keyboard or guitar to play an old classic and tell her you just learned it recently. You can even show her how to play. This piece sitting in your living room always adds color and gives your friends something interactive to play with when they are over having a few beers. The best instruments are keyboard or guitar, since they can be moved easily and are usually easy to pick up songs.
Digital photo frame
There is nothing more sexy to a woman than to see her man being social with other women. It shows that you are pre-selected by other women and she is not your only option. This also gives you a chance to show off the places you have visited. Maybe you hiked the Appalachian Trail and have great stories.
